Fun in Burlington

Came back from Readercon 2007 yesterday, and I must say that, despite a few misgivings (due to circumstances I won't bother to go into) I had a very nice time. The hotel staff was marvelous; although things were a bit rough because the main restaurant was closed for repairs, they did their best to make us welcome and make up for any problems.

I did a reading at noon on Saturday with Leah Bobet and John Bowker for Sybil's Garage, and that was a lot of fun as well. The audience was responsive, and I think there were actually a couple of people there who were neither friends nor family of the readers....
I won't go into a long description of the panels and parties I attended, or the many friends it was my pleasure to hang out with. But y'all know who you are, and it was really great to see you again. (And a special hello to all those who met us for a surprise mini-con at the Traveler's Restaurant on the way home on Sunday.)
